Energiekompas

At the first Amsterdam Policy Hackathon in September 2025, I worked with Code & Close on Energiekompas. The idea was to help Amsterdam residents find information about home energy measures, subsidies, and the heat transition without having to piece it together from several places. We built a prototype and won the hackathon.

The prototype asked residents a short series of questions and used their answers to point them towards relevant information. It was a hackathon demo, not a production municipal service.

Presenting it at the municipality

In January 2026, I prepared and gave a presentation about Energiekompas at the Municipality of Amsterdam's Energie Kennisuur. The audience included people working on the city's energy transition.

The municipality has since continued developing the project.
